Rent a Car in Tunisia

First Class is a Tunisian rental agency based in Monastir, operating across the whole country. We are not a broker or a comparison site: the people who quote you are the people who hand over the keys, which removes the classic bait-and-switch at the counter.

Our quoted price includes comprehensive insurance, roadside assistance and the agreed mileage. What we quote is what you pay.

FAQ

Is it safe to drive in Tunisia as a tourist?

Yes. The motorway network is modern and well maintained, and the main tourist routes are straightforward. Drive defensively in city centres, where traffic is denser than in Europe, and avoid unlit rural roads at night.

Can I rent a car in Tunisia without a credit card?

Yes. We accept cash and bank transfer for the deposit, unlike most international chains which block a large amount on a credit card.

Do I need an international driving permit?

In most cases your national licence is sufficient for a tourist stay if you have held it for at least a year. Requirements vary by nationality, so contact us beforehand and we will confirm your specific case.

Can I take the car across the border?

No. Our vehicles may not cross into Algeria or Libya. The rental is valid within Tunisia only.
